Ladden & Allen, Chartered, is a family law firm offering professional, caring and accessible representation in the areas of marriage, divorce, mediation, financial settlements and custody matters.
Ronald S. Ladden and Gemma B. Allen, the firm's principals, have represented over 2,000 men and women on matters spanning the entire gamut of family law issues.
Ron and Gemma provide equal attention to each and every case, whether it is a simple uncontested divorce or a high-stakes, complex case involving a multi-million dollar settlement. Their own experience as well as access to forensic experts in the areas of taxes, accounting and business valuation assists them in helping their clients navigate through the increasingly complex issues incident to division of marital property.
Ron Ladden and Gemma Allen have conducted more than 20 think-tank seminars whose purpose is to discuss new approaches to more effectively deal with marriage and divorce. The seminars are attended by leading authorities and family experts such as marital psychologists, counselors, judges, divorce attorneys and members of the clergy.
In 2003, Gemma gained national and local media attention because of her work with Illinois State Senator John P. Cullerton to introduce a bill into the Illinois General Assembly that would have made pre-marital education mandatory. The bill passed the Senate but failed in the House; however, support for the bill crossed party lines.
Ron Ladden and Gemma Allen's expertise and leadership in the area of matrimonial law are reflected in that they have repeatedly been selected by their peers as members of the Leading Lawyers Network® in Family Law and are listed by Martindale-Hubbell in its register of preeminent lawyers.
