Ron S. LaddenRonald S. Ladden is a partner in Ladden & Allen, Chartered, a family law firm he established in 1999 with Gemma B. Allen.

Ladden & Allen, Chartered, offers professional, caring and accessible representation in the areas of marriage, divorce, mediation, financial settlements and custody matters.

Ron has practiced family law for his entire professional career. Previously, he was a sole practitioner in Ronald S. Ladden & Associates. For 10 years, he was a director and co-head of the family law section of a large Chicago law firm. He has been repeatedly selected by his peers as one of the Leading Lawyers in Family Law.

A member since 2003 of the USA board of managers of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Ron has spoken at its international conferences on issues related to USA matrimonial law. Long active in the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, Ladden was until recently a member of its national board of governors and is a past president of the Illinois chapter. He is also active in the family law section councils of the American Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association.

A frequent author and lecturer on topics related to family law, he has covered topics such as “Preparing Clients for Custody Litigation,” “The Uniform Pre-marital Agreement Act,” and “Implications of the Baby Richard Case.” In 1999, he presented “Illinois Parentage Act: The High Cost of Sex” to the Chicago Bears football team rookie class.

Ron and his wife Ellyne have three adult children and nine grandchildren.
