A deep empathy for children whose parents are going through divorce led Catrina Erickson to choose family law as her area of concentration. She combines compassion with strong lawyering skills in her practice at Ladden & Allen, Chartered, where she counsels clients on dissolution of marriage, legal separation, parenting issues including child custody and child support, spousal maintenance, parental alienation, and domestic violence.
Catrina joined the firm in July 2016 as an attorney after two years at another Chicago family law firm.
While a student at The John Marshall Law School, Catrina volunteered on the advice desk at at the Chicago Legal Clinic and later held a judicial internship in the Domestic Relations Division of the Circuit Court of Cook County. She was also a legal intern for the Illinois Department of Children and Family services.
At John Marshall where she graduated cum laude, she was an editor of the Law Review and a member of the school’s Moot Court Honors Council. She received three CALI awards for the highest grade in a subject area. Catrina has a B.A. in political science from the University of Illinois and was on the Dean’s List for three consecutive years.
Catrina is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association and Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
